The history of Mundial Foods began in 1979, when the Zanella family, led by Mr. Pedro and Mrs. Felicita Zanella, along with their children, started their journey in the food industry. It all began with a snack bar called Lancheria Mona Lisa, located in the center of Caxias do Sul, where they served meals and snacks. Over time, the small establishment expanded and turned into a renowned café chain known as Doce Docê. As the years passed, new consumer habits emerged, especially in the frozen food segment. This change in the food scene led the Zanella family to take a new step in 1998 with the brand Leve Sabor, focused on manufacturing frozen meals and snacks to be sold in supermarkets and convenience stores through products such as pizzas, soups, lasagnas, pastas, sauces, savory snacks, puff pastry, and cheese breads. Leve Sabor expanded its scope and adapted to the market's needs until it became the corporate group Mundial Foods.
Thanks to the use of extremely low temperatures (as low as -40ºC), the ultra-freezing technology allows the nutritional characteristics of Mundial Foods products to remain intact, as this process preserves the original structure of the food, maintaining the structural aspects and the unmatched flavor of our products. The ultra-freezing process is carried out in a short period of time. The factory facilities were designed to ensure the highest excellence in the production of our foods.
